More August 2020
grackles adult and juvenile the adult has a shiny blue head black body the juvenile is gray at first.
Above is a common grackle they seem plumper and have a smaller tail than the great tail and boat tail our yard seems to have all types grackles can become a nuisance our so far are not out of control because we allow squirrels in the rail feeders which keeps everything evening out we have big birds little birds the sparrows also can be overbearing but they tend to enjoy the hanging feeders ad big birds keep the population in check have seed that alows for all sizes makes for a good mix to watch.

cooper hawks tend to scope out feeders for pray of small birds they are very fast the only time you might see one is when it is sitting getting ready to catch food and when eating.
